First Week at Daycare

Well, Emily has completed her first week at daycare. Ashley and I are slowly starting to get things together. Every couple of days, we take a few more pictures, with bursts on the weekends. The mornings are kind of hectic. We get up around 6am so that Ashley can get ready for work and I can get the baby fed and dressed. Finally, around 7am, I get to eat breakfast, shower, and get dressed. Then, I take back that baby for about 15 minutes while Ashley finishes getting ready. We finally walk out the door about 8am. I think we are going to try something different next week so that we can all get out the door a little earlier.

Since Ashley has dropped back to 30 hours a week for a while, she picks the baby up around 3:30pm or 4pm. When I get home around 5:30pm, it is time to prepare dinner for us and the baby. Yes, she wants to eat at the same time that we do, so we wind up eating in shifts at the moment. She then plays for a little while before taking a brief, early evening nap before bath-time at 8pm. After I give her a bath, Ashley takes over rocking and giving one last bottle before bed. At this point, I am downstairs cleaning bottles, making up bottles for the next day, cleaning up after dinner, and making lunches. It takes each of us about 30 minutes to finish our tasks, so Little Bit usually goes down between 9pm and 9:30pm. Normally, she is down for the night until around 6am the next day.

Such cute pictures! I especially love the one where she is stretched out asleep in Ashley’s lap! What have you guys been feeding her? She is really growing and looks so big in these pics! Kiss her from her CeCe and tell her that I love her.

Hey you guys! The picture of Emily and Rosie is precious. I wish we could have our dogs with us so Emma could play with them everyday! I’m glad to see Emily’s starting to sleep through the night. It’s wonderful, isn’t it? :)

[...] week, I mentioned that Emily started her first week at daycare. Although I did not yet know it, she came home at the end of that first week with her first cold. [...]
