Under Quarantine
Well, we won’t be seeing anyone anytime soon.
Emily has the flu, and a nasty ear infection.
All this after having quite the nasty little stomach bug last week. For those of you who don’t know, Jon and I spent all last Wed. night vomiting continuously for several hours. The next day, we were too sore to move. By Friday, we finally felt well enough to contemplate real food and to shower, then we got hit with the second part of the bug. Let’s just say we then proceeded to lose all fluids that we had managed to rehydrate ourselves with. Our first real meal was Sat. night. All the while, Miss Emily wanted to play and just didn’t understand why Mommy and Daddy stayed on the couch and in the recliner and didn’t move for two days.
So, we will be sacrificing pigeons in an attempt to appease the gods and pray for the neverending sequence of sickness to end. So far this year Emily has had RSV, a stomach virus, a double ear infection (not including the current ear infection), and the flu.
If this keeps up, we will have to burn the house in order to get rid of all the germs.
Until we are well again, take care everyone.

So sorry to hear our Little Miss Em is sick again! I hope that this nasty bug won’t last too long and she will soon feel like playing again. Take good care of our little princess and we’ll hope that Tamiflu works for you. Kiss my grandchild from her Pop and CeCe. Love, Mom

Sacrificing pigeons is a worthwhile endeavor. Need a gun or two to shoot the bastards down? Gimme a call; I’ll chuck it out the window of the car and keep driving.

Isn’t it amazing how they just bounce right back and we can get the same bug and be out for days? Crazy! Hope y’all don’t catch the flu too!

Unfortunately it looks like Jon may be coming down with the flu. When he announced this happy news this morning, I just muttered “what am I going to do with the two of you?” Jon just looked at me and said “hopefully stay well so that you can take care of us.”
Guess that is what my weekend is going to be, playing nursemaid. I’m sure it could be worse, we could just feel like we have the flu.
Hope everyone gets to feeling better. We’ll be able to venture out in public again one day.

Grah. I was hoping you’d have a break from the neverending Wheel of Sickness.

Isn’t always worse when the Hubby’s get it? They get a sniffle and act like they are dying! Us Mommies never get to call in sick, there is always someone to play nurse to. :~

That really sucks. I thought I had it bad just having to take care of Sean while he was sick. I really hope you guys all start feeling better and continue to feel better. Here’s to Spring bringing better health for the whole family.

We totally feel your pain! Emma had it last week and is still recooperating (sorry if this isn’t spelled right, but brain not working right now). I got the flu this weekend, and Kris got sent home today from work. I’m feeling somewhat better, but Kris is finally asleep after being up all night and day. Hopefully this will all pass by quickly so we can enjoy Spring when it gets here. We still have a couple inches of snow on the ground up in good ole Maryland
