Breakfast with Santa

This year, our daycare did a breakfast with Santa. You bring your kids in, eat donuts, drink milk or juice, and the kids can get a picture taken with Santa. Emily was all about eating the donuts, but she was not too sure of this Santa fellow. As you can see, Ashley had to go up and sit with her to even get Emily close to the Big Guy who is not Daddy in the Big Red Suit.

Later on, we wound up seeing Emily’s teacher. I guess Emily though that we might leave her, since her teacher was right there, so she began clinging to my leg and peering around it to stare at her teacher until we left. Well, then we had to carry her out of the room, but that is just because she kept trying to go after any donut that she saw.

  4. Ashley says:

Yes, Geof, I was apologizing to Santa and trying to get Emily calmed down. It was a pretty hysterical event. She just kept shaking her head no everytime he said something to her or tried to touch her.

I think she may be scarred for life. Although, I’m pretty sure Santa was shaken up too.
