After dinner and putting Emily to bed, I kind of forgot that I had to make them. When I realized that at 9 or 9:30, I started looking online for some ideas. I thought it would be cute to make something puppy-related since that is Emily's favorite animal. Of course, there was a pattern. I think it came off of the kraft family site but I'd have to double check. I have some more pictures of them that I will try to get posted soon. The best part is the saying on the back. The cards are really cute and I bet you enjoyed making them (even as you groused and grumbled a little bit). I bet Emily was happy with them too. Here's a heads up for a possible future crisis: always keep a cake mix, a can of icing, cupcake papers, and some sprinkles on hand. Ashley was great at volunteering me to make cupcakes for a group. Only glitch was that she only remembered to tell me at about 9:00 the night before the event! Fantastic! Jon, just for future reference, when holiday parties are approaching at school, the night before is not a great time to be searching for treats! As a teacher, I made that mistake once, and wound up going to three different stores looking for candy canes for a Christmas party. Anyway, the valentines are adorable and I bet you started a trend in her class for next year.
